Today on Campus
- If you're constantly dozing off in class, there may be an alternative to caffeine for staying awake. The University Teaching Center invites you to a two-part workshop today on helping you become more active in the learning environment. This workshop, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., will help you form effective writing and collaborative learning teams to help you be a more responsible student. The workshops will be held in the Senior Ballroom of the Student Union.
- Joseph Richard Brennan will talk about "Assessing the Forensic Evaluation and Therapeutic Services Provided to Pre-Adjudicated Juvenile Offenders by Licensed Psychologists." Head over to Room 312 of the Education building today at 12:30 to get in on this lesson.
- Discuss "Oxidation and Accelerated Death" with Ron Watson. The seminar will last from noon to 1 p.m. today in Room 5403 of the Arizona Health Sciences Center.
- Help break down the cultural barriers with Linda Larkey as she discusses "Hispanic Cultural Norms for Health-Seeking Behavior." Larkey, of the UA Prevention Center, will also address facilitators of health-seeking behavior among Hispanics in Arizona. If this topic interests you, reserve time today from noon to 1 p.m. in the Economics building, Room 204A, the MASRC Conference Room.
