The 5th annual Bob Marley Festival transformed Kennedy Park Saturday and
yesterday into an Amsterdam-esqe party filled with positive vibrations and
lots of ganja smoke. In the spirit of Reggae's most well-known son, there
was no entrance fee, but non-perishable food items and cash donations were
gladly accepted. Bands from as far as Jamaica and Chicago came to the Old
Pueblo to spread Marley's message of peace and unity. In addition to the
jammin' tunes, food, drinks and crafts were also in abundance.

Papa Ranger is no stranger to the Tucson community.
He has been promoting Reggae music through his store on Sixth Street and
his radio show on 92.1 KFMA for years. Papa provided music between acts
for the festival. |

All ages, races, genders and religions filled out
the crowd to form a melting pot that would have made Marley proud. |
