University police arrested a man on a warrant Friday after spotting him and three other men drinking in public near East Speedway Boulevard and North Euclid Avenue, police reports stated.

An officer on patrol near the intersection saw four men walking west on the south side of Speedway Boulevard, all of whom were carrying cans of Bud Light, according to police reports.

The men saw the patrol car and ducked inside a nearby residence east of Euclid Avenue, but decided to venture out again when the officer turned a corner, reports stated.

The officer drove around the block, encountered three people from the group, and stopped them near the intersection, reports stated.

Two of the three men were over 21, but one of them, identified as Travis M. Moses, of the 4000 block of North Oracle Road, was 20 years old and had two warrants from other law enforcement agencies on minor in possession of alcohol charges, reports stated.

The two other men were warned for drinking in public and Moses was taken to Pima County Jail, where he was later released by Pre-Trial Services after posting a $202 bond.

University police arrested a woman on a trespassing charge Friday after finding her asleep in the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd.

Two officers were walking through the library at 1:28 a.m. when they discovered Pei L. Lo, 48, of the 700 block of South Sixth Street, sleeping on a desk on the fifth floor, police reports stated.

One of the officers recognized Lo from an April 1 arrest for trespassing at the Main Library, where she was found asleep in a chair on the fourth floor, reports stated.

Lo became argumentative with the officers when they told her they were going to give her a citation, but calmed down when they said she would be released, reports stated.

The officers cited her on a charge of third-degree criminal trespassing and escorted her from the library, reports stated.

The employee was working at Environmental and Natural Resources at 1:33 a.m. when he saw a man, later identified as Joseph D. Jackson, 43, of the 2000 block of West Calle de Repose, trying to open doors on a building across East Sixth Street, police reports stated.

He called university police after he heard a window break, and officers arrived minutes later to find Jackson in the area with blood dripping from his head, reports stated.

Jackson's speech was slurred and he was having trouble standing, so he was told to sit down until paramedics arrived to treat his wound, reports stated.

Since the building was off campus, a Tucson police officer arrived and arrested Jackson on a charge of criminal damage.

The employee told police the van broke the gate at 1:36 p.m., and that he was able to get the license plate number but not a description of the driver.

A records check indicated the plate was registered to a Cadillac and officers were unable to locate the van anywhere.

A research assistant in the psychology department called university police Tuesday and told them he lost his keys to the Psychology building, 1503 E. University Blvd.
