1998 record: 11-1, first place in the Southern Division of the Western Women's Lacrosse League

Playoff finish: 3rd place at the WWLL Final Four

Top player: Senior midfielder Jessica Deal named Offensive MVP of the Final Four

Team notes: Best finish since 1995 when the Wildcats also finished third

Men's Lacrosse (Laxcats)

1998 Record: 8-8, 2nd place in Southern Division of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League

Playoff finish: 4th place overall finish in the WCLL

Player notes: Seniors Dave Ames, Max Webber, Chris Stinson and Kevin O'Donnell and sophomore Laurance Bass were named to the WCLL Southern Division All-Star Team

Team notes: The Laxcats have been to the WCLL playoffs 17 out of 18 seasons

Rugby

1998 Record: 16-5, 2nd place in SoCal Conference

Playoff finish: Placed 3rd out of a field of 16 teams in the 32nd Annual Cherry Blossom Tournament in Washington, D.C.

Player notes: Chris Kron, Alan Lakomskis, Zack Harrison, Tony Marcotte and Paul Gause were named to the All-Conference team

Team notes: Started the season in New Zealand and finished in Washington, D.C in one of rugby's most prestigious tournaments. Junior Varsity team won the conference title for the third consecutive season and placed 10th in Cherry Blossom Tournament.
