Rec Center officials should reconsider WildKids closures

I was recently dismayed to find a notice in the WildKids child care room (at the Student Recreation Center) that they will discontinue weekday morning child care effective this fall. As of August 4, I was the only user who expressed my views to Facilities Manager Kim Clark.

The WildKids staff is exceptional, the facilities are stocked with fun toys and the price is unbeatable - $1 per hour for students and $1.50 an hour for all others. This great resource lacks enough children to continue offering child care from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Monday through Friday.

I encourage other WildKids users or potential users to contact the Rec Center and urge them to reconsider their decision.
