On September 30, 1967 UA scored the biggest win in Western Athletic Conference history when it traveled to Ohio Stadium's famous concrete horseshoe and defeated the Woody Hayes-lead Buckeyes 14-7. At the time no WAC Conference, which Arizona used to play in before joining the Pac-10, team had ever beat a Big 10 school. The only other time the two schools have met was in 1991, a 38-14 loss in front of 92,743 people, the largest crowd at Ohio Stadium up to that point.
