Today on Campus
- The School of Music and Dance sponsors its Faculty Artist Series -
featuring William Walton's "Facade" at 7:15 p.m. in the
Music Building, Room 162.
- The Steward Observatory Public Event Series presents "The Age
of the Universe," by Brian Chaboyer at 7:30 p.m. in the Steward
Observatory, Room N210. Following the talk, there will be an opportunity
for viewing the night sky (weather permitting) with the use of the 21-inch
telescope on site. The event is free and open to the general public.
- Faculty Artist Series presents the Faculty Chamber Music Evening
at 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Complex Crowder Hall. For the first time in
10 years, both music and dance faculty will be together in a conducted
ensemble. Featured is musical work, "On Wenlock Edge,"
by Ralph Vaughn Williams. Tickets cost $10, $8 and $5. Contact the concert

- The Southwest Retail Center For Education And Research will
hold an Open House from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tours of the facilities begin in
Room 127 in the Family & Consumer Resources building, 1110 E. South
Campus Drive.
- At 4 p.m. Vivian Stephenson will discuss "Winning the Sale:
Information Technology in Retailing" in the Gallagher Theatre
in the Memorial Student Union. A reception follows the speech in the theater's
foyer.
- Entries for the intramural Racquetball Singles Tournament open
today through next Monday at the Student Recreation Center. Price is $7
per entry.
