"(Previously) a student could get a free copy in response to an advisors request," said Administrative Assistant Sharon Irish. Now the student and the advisor can get the same information with less running around, she said. "What we are trying to do is get the advisors to use the computers," said Mary Clark, office assistant. This paper-eliminating measure is the second announced by the Registrar's Office recently. Starting this semester, students will no longer receive a hard copy of their grades unless they request one Üęsaving the university $25,000 in postage and printing costs. Students who want to know their grades will have to use the RSVP phone system or UAInfo.
