Sidelines

The Cedric Dempsey Cancer Center Run is taking place Nov. 16 on the UA campus. The event will benefit the Cancer Center set up by former UA athletic director Cedric Dempsey. Next week in the Memorial Student Union, a table will be set up on the first floor to sign up participants for the race.

Registration to participate is $15. Interested runners can either pay the fee at the table or can get 15 sponsor sheets on which they can sign up local businesses or family and friends.

The sponsor sheets can then be mailed into the Cancer Center, which will distribute collection envelopes to the sponsors.

There will be a two-mile fun run around the Mall, a 10K run that circles the Mall and the University Medical Center, a rollerblading race and a wheelchair race. For more information call Rita at the Cancer Center at 621-5279.
