Today on Campus

  • With the weather cooling off, you want to be sure you have a UA sweatshirt to sport around, and today's the day to buy it! The UA Associated Students Bookstore is having a Grand Re-Opening and all merchandise throughout the store is discounted 20 percent off. Live entertainment, food and a ribbon-cutting ceremony are among events taking place at the store from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Three local authors will be signing books as well. The authors are children's writer Susan Lowell, former UA President John Schaefer and nature writer Janice Bowers.

  • Explore the power of visual imagery and the written word over the individual in the Group Art Exhibition with Julie Brunner and Robert Gorecki. The exhibit will be in the Lionel Rombach Gallery at the southwest corner of Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Satisfy your mind and stomach at "Magdalena Bay: A Look at Local Knowledge, Government and Non-Governmental Institutions" by Emma Olenberger and Kate Pearson. Catch the show from 12 to 12:50 p.m. in Room 200 of the Economics building.

  • Are illegal drugs all right for medical purposes? See what Staff Psychiatrist Michael Kuntzelman of LaFrontera East in Tucson has to say on this issue through "Medicinal Marijuana and Other Herbs and Potions." This lesson will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Arizona Health Sciences Center.
