Today on Campus
- With the weather cooling off, you want to be sure you have a
UA sweatshirt
to sport around, and today's the day to buy it! The UA Associated Students
Bookstore is having a Grand
Re-Opening and all merchandise throughout
the store is discounted 20 percent off. Live entertainment, food and a
ribbon-cutting ceremony are among events taking place at the store from
4:30 to 7 p.m. Three local authors will be signing books as
well. The authors
are children's writer Susan Lowell, former UA President John Schaefer and
nature writer Janice Bowers.
- Explore the power of visual imagery and the written word over the individual
in the Group Art Exhibition with Julie
Brunner and Robert Gorecki.
The exhibit will be in the Lionel Rombach Gallery at the southwest corner
of Park Avenue and
Speedway Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Satisfy your mind and stomach at "Magdalena Bay: A Look at
Local
Knowledge, Government and Non-Governmental Institutions"
by Emma Olenberger and Kate Pearson. Catch the show from
12 to 12:50 p.m.
in Room 200 of the Economics building.
- Are illegal drugs all right for medical purposes? See what Staff
Psychiatrist
Michael Kuntzelman of LaFrontera East in Tucson has to say on this issue
through "Medicinal Marijuana and
Other Herbs and Potions."
This lesson will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Arizona Health Sciences
Center.
