By Marc Hernandez Whole history should be brought to lightEditor: Mr. Mosier's pontification of Aztec history serves to elucidate the extent of his superior ability to captivate the most essential qualities of a culture (Bull%$#@!). This ability is only superseded by his own incoherent rhetoric. My argument is not with his opinion, but the unilateral representation of that hypocritical opinion. It seemed that Mr. Mosier was not able to ascertain any of the qualities that were the hallmark of the Aztec civilization. No, none of the beautiful architecture that to date keaves scientists in awe, none of the complex calculations for the movement of celestial bodies derived hundreds f years before their European counterparts, and no reference to the complex system of society that once existed. The aztecs were liable for their share of social inequities as was each civilization. I have no reservations in admitting this, but what I do have problems with is the demoralizing and condescending representation of a civilization to advance self-righteous, ideological preferences. If you truly believe that this culture was epitomized only by the cannibalistic, sadomasochistic notions as represented in your rebuttal, then put your head back in your pick-n-save encyclopedia and continue to wander the earth enshrouded by that flicker of a thought you call an idea. I have no quarrel with the representation of historical fact as long as the WHOLE picture is brought to light. History is not a pick and choose subject. Marc Hernandez
