Sidelines

Lute Olson, head coach of the national champion Wildcats men's basketball team, will be signing the first 100 "Wildcat" license plates sold before Saturday's Homecoming football game versus Oregon State.

The Motor Vehicle Division of the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Arizona Alumni Association are teaming up for the license plate sale. There will be a MVD tent on the Mall, just west of Campbell Ave., selling the plates from 1 to 6 p.m..

Anyone interested in purchasing a "Wildcat" plate needs to bring a current vehicle registration and a check or money order for $25 made out to MVD.

Of the $25 pricetage, $17 of it will benefit the University of Arizona Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.

It is not a requirement to be an alumnus to purchase a plate.
