Today on Campus

  • You don't have to travel far to go "Exploring Our Atmosphere: From a Scientist's Chair to a Sailplane's Cockpit." Nilton Renno of atmospheric sciences will deliver this speech from 12:15 to 12:50 p.m. in Gallagher Theatre, as part of the Building Academic Community Speaker series.

  • "If you love me, you'll do it." This doesn't need to be the case if you are "Establishing and Maintaining Healthy Emotional, Physical And Sexual Boundaries." Irene Anderson of the Oasis Center for Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence will present this talk from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the Memorial Student Union.

  • Don't allow yourself to fall a victim of cancer because you didn't know how to avoid it. Instead, attend "Selenium and Cancer Prevention" presented by Larry Clark, associate professor of epidemiology. This discussion will be held in Room 216 of the Chemistry and Biology Sciences building from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

  • Having trouble with your plants? Find out why at "The 10 Most Common Causes of Plant Problems." This gardening demonstration will begin at 1 p.m. in the Wilmot Branch Library at 530 N. Wilmot Road.

  • Everyone complains about parking on campus, but few people actually do something about it. Be part of the solution by attending today's Parking and Transportation Symposium. An advisory committee will hear concerns, ideas and suggestions about campus parking today from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 285 of the Memorial Student Union. Park yourself there.
