By Tony Poer Entrepreneurship Senior Cartoon strip makes no senseEditor: In my four years here at The University of Arizona, this is the first time that I have been compelled to write a letter to your fine publication. Amid the flurry of controversial events happening on campus and around the nation, I have found yet another issue that must be debated. I am referring to, of course, your daily comic "Looking for Billy." I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person, yet I am baffled by this particular piece of art. I have never understood anything about "Looking for Billy," but the comic that finally drove me over the edge was published on Monday, November 10, 1997. It depicted a rabbit and what appeared to be a carrot, and when the rabbit consumed the carrot, he/she started floating. At first, I figured that it was a misprint and that a panel had been deleted from my paper. Upon further examination, however, I determined that this was the comic in its entirety. I remember thinking the same thing about previous editions of "Looking for Billy," in particular the ones with the animals spontaneously catching on fire. Don't get me wrong, I am not condemning "Looking for Billy" or its author, Jeremy Olson, but I was wondering if perhaps the Daily Wildcat might reprint any missing panels, or perhaps include a decoder ring or some similar means of interpreting this comic. I am tired of asking people what the hell this cartoon is supposed to be about, and they are tired of saying they have no idea. Thank you for your time. Tony Poer
