University police got a call Friday from a male student after he received harassing e-mail messages from a female student at Arizona State University.

The student told police he met the woman in 1996 via e-mail and has been receiving messages from her ever since, police reports stated.

The e-mail messages described what the woman wanted to do sexually to the student, police reports stated.

The student reportedly told the woman to stop e-mailing him.

According to police reports, the student told officers he has received over 100 messages but only has saved 10.

Officers are attempting to contact the woman about the incidents.


University police arrested three students on liquor charges early Sunday morning after they tried to hide beer cans near East First Street and North Cherry Avenue.

Officers spotted Jeremy Bayer, 19, of the 9100 block of East Holmes and Toni Adestone, 19, of the 8200 block of East Third Street, at 2:19 a.m., police reports stated.

Melane LaFave, 20, of the 8000 block of East Speedway Boulevard was found holding two bottles of Bartle's and Jaymes Berry Wine Coolers, police reports stated.

The other two were each found holding half-empty cans of Keystone beer.

Officers reportedly stopped the students and asked their ages. Adestone and LaFave initially told officers they were 21 but later said they were actually under 21.

The three were cited for minors possessing alcohol and released at the scene.

The alcohol was disposed of at the scene.


University police arrested a 20-year-old student on liquor charges Saturday during the Homecoming football game at Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave.

Matthew McCormick of the 900 block of East River Road was arrested after officers received complaints that he was drinking from a liquor bottle and passing it around, police reports stated.

Officers reportedly took from McCormick a Coca-Cola cup that reportedly smelled of liquor. A liquor smell was also on his breath, reports stated.

McCormick told police he had not been drinking and he was holding the cup for a friend, police reports stated. He told officers he would take any sobriety test offered to him.

Officers reportedly took McCormick to the UAPD command station in the stadium where he refused a breath test.

McCormick was cited for minor possessing alcohol and released at the scene.


A 20-year-old male student was arrested by university police on liquor charges Sunday after officers saw him holding a red cup near East First Street and North Cherry Avenue.

Rafe D'Amico of the 1300 block of North Park Avenue was sitting near the intersection and tried to hide the cup when he saw approaching officers, police reports stated.

Officers reportedly spoke to D'Amico and he told them the cup was half full of rum.

D'Amico was cited for minor possessing alcohol and released at the scene.


University police arrested a 22-year-old man Sunday for criminal littering.

Officers saw Adam Matz of the 6400 block of East Shepard Hills walking north on North Martin Avenue near the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 1801 E. First St., police reports stated.

Matz reportedly dropped a green glass bottle near a trash dumpster when he saw officers.

When officers stopped Matz and asked for identification he said, "I ain't got to give you any fuckin' ID," police reports stated.

Matz reportedly continued to yell at officers saying, "What the fuck are you gonna do?"

When officers asked him to back up he refused and added, "You ain't gonna do fucking shit" reports stated.

Matz told officers he threw a Rout beer can in the Dumpster, police reports stated.

He was cited for criminal littering and released at the scene.


A female student called university police Monday after finding the parking permit in her 1988 Alpha Romero Spider was missing.

The student told officers she parked her car, about 9 a.m., with the top down, on the second floor of the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Avenue, police reports stated. When she returned at 2 p.m. the permit was gone.

She told officers she forgot to take the permit out of the car, police reports stated.

Nothing else appeared to be missing from the car.

The value of the permit was unknown.
