By Brian Inmon Sports not associated with sinEditor: This is to Mr. Buchheit: After reading your article entitled "A Brainless Dunk Pt.II: Satan's Hangtime" I was a bit upset. You would have the world believe that sports are a mindless waste of time. You would let everyone think that sports have no value what so ever. You would lead them to believe that sports are just about money and corruption. I beg to differ. I am not saying it does not exist, but it does not involve everyone. What about those guys or gals who just love to play? Those guys or gals that love to compete just to compete? Sports are not completely associated with sins. How about writing books for money, you get paid to write words down better than someone else. That is competition to get your book on the best sellers list. Did you know there are actually some publishers that will buy a lot of one book to get on that satanic list, the best sellers list? Probably the most arrogant part of your article was your mock commentary. Does that apply to all sports. "Oh wow, he has hurled the ball into the air in THE EXACT SAME DIRECTION AS THE LITTLE CIRCLE ATTACHED TO THE BOARD!" Or how about, "Oh my, he hit the little ball with a stick!" Or "Incredible, the one guy chunked the ball through the air and made it spin neat, and the other guy caught it in his two hands while he was running! Absolutely Incredible!" Do those work as well. I was just wondering, have you ever attempted those feats. I mean you make it sound so basic and easy. I know that I have played sports for just about all of my life and I still find it hard to "make the ball go through the little circle," or hit the little ball with the stick or throuw a dead-on spiral to a receiver that is running full out 30 yards down the field while a large man is trying to tackle me. In short, do not bring down that part of my life that taught me, pride, loyalty, teamwork and the value of hard work. That's funny, isn't that what company's look for in employees, all of those satanic qualities learned from Satan's games. Brian Inmon
