A Tucson man was arrested on trespassing charges, and his female companion was warned Monday at UA Campbell Farms, 4101 N. Campbell Ave.

University police arrived at the farm at 3:21 p.m. and recognized Michael David Silver, 40, of the 700 block of West Thurber Road, from a November 1997 encounter, according to police reports. Silver was with a 37-year-old woman.

According to police reports, Silver told officers, "I know you told me last time I would be arrested if I came back," and, "I don't understand. What's the big deal? It's not like I'm a real criminal."

Silver was arrested on a criminal trespassing charge and taken to Pima County Jail. The woman was told not to return to the farm.

Reports did not indicate why the duo was at the farm.

Two roommates reported Monday that their campus apartment was burglarized over winter break.

The culprit was selective, leaving valuable items behind in the room at Corleone Apartments, 1330 N. Park Ave.

One student told university police his belongings, and his roommate's, were inventoried by the resident assistant before they left Dec. 18.

The student told police that when he returned Monday he noticed his stereo was missing. The roommate told police his Nintendo game system was gone. There were no signs of forced entry.

According to police reports, a second stereo, a 13-inch television set and a computer were still in the apartment.

The stereo was valued at $300 and the game system at $400.

Three U.S. Geological Survey trucks were vandalized over the weekend in Lot 7103, near East Seventh Street and North Park Avenue.

A male employee told university police the damage occurred between Friday afternoon and Monday morning. A 1997 Ford pickup's driver's side window was smashed. The driver's doors on a 1992 Dodge pickup and a 1983 Chevy Blazer had been kicked in.

Nothing was missing from any of the vehicles, police reports stated.

The value of the damage was unknown.

A student's wallet was swiped from her unattended backpack last Thursday at the Arizona Health Sciences Center Library, 1501 N. Campbell Ave.

The student told university police she left her backpack at a table on the library's third floor about 5 p.m. When she returned from the restroom a few minutes later, she noticed her pack's front pocket was open and her wallet was missing.

The wallet contained several credit and identification cards, but no cash.

An employee's purse was taken Friday from an unlocked, unattended office at the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, 1118 E. Fourth St.

The employee told university police she was in a lab down the hall from the office when the theft occurred.

The woman said a co-worker left the office with the door open about 3:30 p.m., and when the woman returned about 5 p.m., the purse was no longer in her desk where she had left it.

The purse contained several identification and credit cards, $115 cash, $260 worth of silver rings and her university and house keys.

According to reports, there were a lot of people in the building at the time of the incident.

Two men took firewood last week from the courtyard of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority house, 1071 N. Mountain Ave.

The house mother told university police she came home about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and saw a man standing next to the wood pile on the house's east side.

When she asked the man what he was doing, he replied, "I was wondering if I could get some wood?" police reports stated.

The man then walked to a red late-model Chevy pickup parked in front of the house, reports stated.

The truck sped off in an unknown direction, leaving wood debris on the road near where it was parked.

The woman told police the men got away with about one-third of the pile.

The value of the wood was unknown.
