Arizona Daily Wildcat January 30, 1998 ASUA VP to be arraigned todayExecutive Vice President Casey Cuny is expected to appear in Tucson City Court this morning to clear up a warrant that was issued for his arrest last month. Cuny, 21, has an arraignment set for 8:30 a.m. to face a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge stemming from a party he hosted at his central-Tucson home the night of Dec. 12. The warrant was issued after Cuny did not appear in court Dec. 23. Cuny and three of his housemates were arrested in the early hours of Dec. 13 after a neighbor called police to report a loud party. Cuny said he missed his original court date because he flew home to Colorado for winter break. Besides Cuny, Malcolm Paul Davies, 22, Johann Emmery, 22, and Gregory John Evans, 21, were also arrested and also failed to appear for their original court date. Warrants were also issued for their arrest, and the three men scheduled court appearances earlier this week. Davies and Emmery were set to be arraigned yesterday at 8:30 a.m., and Evans' arraignment is scheduled for today at 8:30 a.m. Information about the outcome of Davies' and Emmery's arraignments was not available yesterday. Although arrest warrants remain in effect until the defendants appear in court, the defendants are given paperwork when they reschedule their arraignments that protects them from being arrested for the warrants, a court spokeswoman said.
