Today on Campus
- Have you asked that special someone to "Be Mine" yet? If not, don't panic! There's a Valentine's Day Balloon Sale today in the Memorial Student Union. Purchase a balloon for your sweetheart from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from the National Society of Black Engineers.
- It's okay to say no. Former Miss Black California Lakita Garth discusses abstinence today from 11 a.m. to noon at the African American Resource Center. If you can't make this time, head over to the UA Mall Area at noon, where she will talk about the issue until 1 p.m.
- As UA turns toward more advanced technology, you don't want to be left behind. Here's your chance to learn more about UA Webspace. A guided tour of on-line syllabi, lecture notes, treasure hunts, problem sets, quizzes, student projects and more takes place from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. today, in Room 218 of the Chemistry and Biology Sciences building.
- Study "Seizures and Cycles" with Vincente Iraqui-Madoz of the University of California at San Diego. The lesson begins today at 8 a.m., in Room 5403 of the Arizona Health Sciences Center.
- Discover the meaning behind the words you use, at the lesson "On the Representation of Words in Memory and Related Matters." Morris Halle of MIT directs this lesson in the Psychology building, Room 317A, from noon to 1:30 p.m. today.
- Tomorrow, grab your honey and walk for the Norwest Climb "A" Mountain to conquer cancer. This 3-mile walk, beginning at Pima College West Campus and ending at the top of "A" Mountain, will benefit the American Cancer Society's lifesaving programs, services and research. Help out a worthy cause and enjoy the food and entertainment provided on this walk. The registration fee to participate ranges from $35 to $40. For more information, dial 321-7989.
