Yummy.

Meet the most beautiful people at Reagan High:

-Courtney Shayne (played by Rose McGowan) - Satan in stilettos. Evokes admiration through intimidation.

-Marcie Fox (Julie Benz) - Courtney's lackey; destined to be a follower. Known only to herself as "Foxy." Has become a legend in her own little mind.

-Julie Freeman (Rebecca Gayheart) - a good girl at heart trying to break away; doomed to popularity because of her good looks.

-Liz Purr (Charlotte Roldan) - truly the cat's meow. She is everything to everyone; where Courtney rules with terror, Liz rules with kindness.

But when the girls decide to play a prank on our precious Liz for her 17th birthday, they suddenly find themselves trapped in a sticky situation.

"Jawbreaker," from writer/director Darren Stein has been hailed the "best teen movie since 'Heathers'" by Rolling Stone. Maybe it's just me, maybe it's because I'm not really a teenager anymore, but "Heathers" is a movie worthy of being dubbed a "classic" - one of the greatest dark-comedies ever.

While "Jawbreaker" has its moments, the movie is neither disturbingly dark nor consistently comedic throughout. "Heathers" is a bit of a stretch. This is more like "Clueless" meets "The Craft."

Individually, the performances turned in by the on-screen, ultra-bimbos are worth mention. McGowan, best remembered as the large pair of knockers that got stuck in the garage door in "Scream," is overwhelmingly evil when the script allows her to be - but there's just not enough of it.

Benz was the most convincing of the real-life twenty-somethings playing teenagers, nailing the mannerisms of a wannabe high school girl to a T. Her solid performance helps explain how she landed the role opposite John Larroquette in his new CBS sitcom Payne.

Most people won't recognize Rebecca Gayheart by name but you know her face - she used to be the Noxzema girl, who also went on to play such high-profile roles as Dylan's wife on Beverly Hills, 90210 and the flower girl in "Nothing to Lose." In all honesty, she is just too damn cute to say anything bad about.

Rounding out the cast are Judy Greer, who portrays the geeky "Fern Mayo" who blossoms into super-cool "Vylette" - no last name, just "Vylette" - blaxploitation queen Pam Grier appears as Officer Vera Cruz, and even the devil himself makes an appearance. That's right, Brian Warner, a.k.a. Marilyn Manson, the true embodiment of evil, cameos as a seedy character Courtney meets and promptly screws. I don't think it took a whole lot of convincing for Manson since he and McGowan ("Courtney") are real-life boyfriend/girlfriend.

Hollywood is a vicious place. In order to survive you've got to make a good impression - unfortunately, this "Jawbreaker" leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
