From staff reports

The Arizona men's tennis team will play UC-San Diego in San Diego today at 1:30 p.m., taking a break from Pacific 10 Conference play.

UCSD head coach Tom Hagedorn not only played for UA head coach Bill Wright, but was also his assistant coach at UA for nine years.

Hagedorn's Toreros are currently ranked No. 73 in the International Tennis Association team rankings and are led by senior Rudy Rodriguez.

UA (2-5) is currently tied for No. 45 in the ITA rankings with Alabama-Birmingham.

This weekend the Wildcats will compete in the Pac-Coast doubles tournament in La Jolla, Calif. The tournament includes the top doubles teams from the Pac-10 and the Western Athletic Conference.

The Arizona men have been very busy lately. Friday the Wildcats went up against Arizona State and were defeated 5-2 but claimed victories in the No. 1 and 2 spots by seniors Adnan Novo and Pascal Salasca.

Then on Sunday both the men's and women's teams held a fund-raiser at Reed Park. The Wildcats will need to rest up as they have four more matches going through Spring Break.
