The Arizona women's swimming and diving team finished fourth at the NCAA Championships last week behind host Georgia, Stanford and Southern Methodist.

The Wildcats finished the competition with 332 points and picked up an individual title in the 400-yard freestyle relay which came in the final event of the championships.

The title was won by a sophomore Lindsey Farella, junior Denali Knapp and freshmen Emily Mastin and Sarah Tolar in a time of 3 minutes, 16.49 seconds, and was the second straight title for the Wildcats in that event.

Two-time defending champion in the 1,650-yard freestyle, junior Trina Jackson, managed only a fourth place finish this year, but it still earned her the 11th All-American honor of her career.

Junior Rachel Joseph finished fourth in the 200 backstroke championship, and Knapp finished eighth, earning her the 15th All-American honor of her career.

Freshman Erin Vogt placed 10th in the 200 butterfly, two spots behind Jackson in the event, earning Vogt her third All-American honor of the weekend.

In the platform diving competition sophomore Lindsay Berryman finished eighth (365.30 points) and senior Angelique Rodriguez finished 16th (300.65).

The No. 6-ranked UA men's swimming and diving team will participate in the men's NCAA Championships in Indianapolis beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
