Only the best immigrants wanted
To the editor,
I would have to disagree with the comic put in the March 8 Arizona Daily Wildcat on page 4.
The comic mentioned that Buchanan was making it hard for immigrants strictly based on their language and their culture.
The real reason Buchanan and other Republicans make it difficult for immigrants to come into the U.S. is because everyone in the world would like to come into this country and we can only let the best in by raising our immigration standards.
We simply do not have room in this country to just make coming into this country a giveaway or even moderately difficult.
It just almost makes me sick that some people would vote for Clinton to be president, or a guy with no moral standards, who doesn't honor his wife and who was also found to be involved in a cocaine ring in Arkansas, yet nit-pick about immigration standards that absolutely must exist.
