To the editor,

As a member of Students Against Sweatshops, I would like to take this opportunity to offer our thanks to all of the community, students and faculty who have supported this cause thus far.

As of yet, our four resolutions have not been approved by the administration. They are:

  • Full public disclosure of factory locations

  • Independent, unannounced monitoring

  • A pledge to pay a living wage to workers

  • A pledge to uphold women's rights

However, we feel that the tides are turning. To further support this cause, please join us on Wednesday, April 21 at 11:45 p.m. at the west gate of the campus, at the intersection of Park Avenue and University Boulevard to march to the Administration building and request that the university join the University Coalition Against Sweatshops, which supports the above mentioned resolutions.

We have the power to pressure corporations into improving their labor standards; let's use it!
