Enough with SAS, ASUA

To the editor,

I would like to express my general disgust with the Students Against Sweatshops (SAS) and ASUA. President Likins has agreed to their original demands and has made what I, and I believe most students, would consider generous concessions to this group of "activists."

In return, they're still camped out in our Administration Building. As an added bonus, these assholes decided to create a huge racket so their fellow students and I couldn't access the bursar's office.

To top it off, our beloved illegitimate student government, ASUA, is considering weighing in with SAS.

It amazes me how ASUA constantly has its finger on the pulse of the student body. They passed out questionnaires to figure out what we want, as ASUA is hopelessly out of touch with the average student. They said they "got a real good turnout," but they also say that about their elections.

I have no doubt they'll be able to figure out exactly what we want and do the opposite. I have a solution to the current situation: SAS, get the hell out of the Administration Building.

Likins has done enough to ensure safe working conditions, your demands are unreasonable. ASUA, until you get a clue, quit making any decisions about anything. Better yet, just disband. Voter turn out should be a big hint as to how important we feel your existence is. Ê
