Ministry's Dark Side of the Spoon

Ministry's latest record, Dark Side of the Spoon, proves they're still on the cutting edge of the progressive-industrial scene and solidifies them as purveyors of ear-bleeding, brick-to-head music.

Al Jourgensen, Ministry's frontman, gives the album an auspicious beginning.

The track Supermanic Soul combines his angst-ridden vocal stylings and a deluge of monstrous guitar riffs and glass-shattering drums.

A good sign: you feel the first hint of red fluid being collected in the recesses of your lobes within two minutes of listening.

Several tracks showcase Ministry's eclectic talents. Bad Blood, also on The Matrix soundtrack will be on every road ragers top 10.

Nursing Home proves a banjo isn't the fastest way to lure a relative into bed. Finally 10/10 is a testosterone-laden rock opera, where the fat lady never sings.

This is not for the faint-hearted.

This album should come with trial-sized samples of Ritalin, just in case.
