From staff reports

Police yesterday identified the two motorcyclists injured Saturday in a collision at North Third Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard.

David L. Buscemi, a 19-year-old Tucson resident, was driving the motorcycle about 8 p.m. when it collided with a truck driven by Mike Riley, 43, Tucson police said.

Buscemi was in critical condition yesterday in University Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit.

The passenger on the motorcycle, Sarah B. Yopp, 18, of Tucson, was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Riley, of the 900 block of North Fourth Avenue, was driving the truck involved in the accident. There were indications of alcohol consumption by Riley, according to police, and he was later arrested on suspicion of one count of criminal damage and three counts of aggravated assault. Riley sustained minor injuries in the collision, police said.

Available public records show no indication that the people involved have connections to the University of Arizona.
