ARLIE RAHN
SPORTS REPORTER
Syracuse has been on a roll and just missed upsetting Tennessee. Since the Florida State enigma, the Wolfpack has been average. The Orangemen will roll over NC State.
Syracuse 35
NC State 17
After last weeks drubbing from Nebraska, Washington will return home and expect a win against an Arizona team it has dominated in the past. This year, however, will be different.
Arizona 31
Washington 28
Ohio St. will look for revenge after last years beating at the hands of the Nittany Lions. With a better team, and at home in the Horseshoe, the Buckeyes should get that revenge.
Ohio St. 35
Penn St. 14
ASU needs a win badly and the Trojans will still be licking their wounds after their whipping in Tallahassee. Kealy will actually play well and Redmond should be able to break through the USC front seven.
ASU 35
Southern Cal 31
While the Bulldog defense has been tough, look for Kevin Faulk to expose some weaknesses. LSUs defense has been underrated and wont let Georgia break 20 points.
LSU 24
Georgia 17

NC State disappointed me when they lost to Baylor after beating Florida State. One-hit wonders? I think so.
Syracuse 35
NC State 16
Ive been waiting for this one since last year, and I really think our guys can defeat U-Dub. Say what you want, I like the way Arizona is playing. Boys, it could be the Rose Bowl and, dare I say, Fiesta?
Arizona 31
Washington 28
Ohio State always seems to roll early in the season, and have had pretty good success against Penn State. Itll be close, but the Buckeyes have home advantage, and that should be the difference.
Ohio State 21
Penn State 17
J.R. Redmonds Heisman campaign ended just as quick as ASUs Fiesta Bowl campaign. USC played OK last week against Florida State, and are a contender in the Pac-10.
Southern Cal 27
ASU 24
Georgia at LSU LSU has a ground attack like no other, but Georgias not bad. LSU is at home, and nobody wants to play in Baton Rouge, because the beer is flowing and the home crowd is vicious.
LSU 24
Georgia 17

SPORTS REPORTER
The Orangemen let me down once before, but after seeing NC State lose to a Baylor team which lost to a WSU team which lost to Cal, I cant pick the Wolfpack. McNabb is no Weinke, and he wont blow this one.
Syracuse 41
NC State 30
The time has finally come for the Huskies dominance to end. That 55-7 demolition at Nebraska crushed UWs spirit, now the UA running game will bury them six feet under. Canidate and Eafon can do it, too.
Arizona 38
Washington 31
My uncle and cousin are Lions alum, but I dont care. Penn State cant win in Columbus, especially not with this young team. OSU just needs to keep its mind on the game and not start looking ahead to Michigan early.
Ohio State 35
Penn State 21
The winner of this game is still in the Pac-10 title chase for another week. The loser is dead in the water. If it were in Tempe, Id give the Scum Devils the nod. For the first time in my life, Im rootin for the Trojans.
Southern Cal 31
Arizona State 28
A battle between the No. 6 and No. 12 teams and I didnt even know it was coming. I didnt even notice either team before now. Western bias? Sure. So, knowing nothing and admitting that, Ill take the Tigers at home.
LSU 38
Georgia 27

One thing anyone who follows Big East football knows is that the Orangemen are a bunch of choke masters. NC State beat them up in New York last year in a close one and will do it again.
NC State 27
Syracuse 24 OT
Washington gave up more than 450 yards rushing last week. Think what Keith Smith will do. Or Ortege Jenkins for that matter. Trung Canidate and Kelvin Eafon can run. So can Paul Shields... see what Im getting at?
Arizona 42
Washington 28
This is a weekend for upsets, and the Buckeyes are so eager to be national champs that theyll forget to concentrate on an always disciplined Joe Paterno squad. Besides, not everyone can jump on the Ohio State bandwagon.
Penn State 34
Ohio State 30
Ryan Kealy is the most overrated quarterback in the Pac-10, and ASU is about as much of a conference championship challenger as the North Texas squad that gave them some trouble two weeks ago.
Southern Cal 28
ASU 15
Georgia can play but the Tigers in Baton Rouge are tough as hell. Herb Tyler is looking more and more like a quarterback every day. Time for the over hyped SEC teams to start knocking each other off.
LSU 27
Georgia 20
