FOR SALE: Cool Stuff. Merchants will sell their wares on the Mall today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get a sunburn and a new T-shirt all in the same 2-foot radius.

Join the Compelling Cadence of Eat to the Beat as it presents St. Sureal as it evokes unconscious, but very real, desires! Come listen to the melodious lot in the Cellar (bottom floor of the Student Union) from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Bring your lunch, Cherry Coke and a sense of appreciation for fine music.

Or, if you prefer twisting and shouting to pre-recorded tunes, KAMP Student Radio will spin discs and divert tired students with a live radio show today on the Mall. Bring food, water bottles and sun bloc as you rock out. And if KAMP's afternoon delight inspires the hip-hop, bee bop disc jockey in you, check out the KAMP Student Radio Open House this afternoon. Student Programs is sponsoring this event between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. behind Sam's Place in the Student Union. Maybe your future is in radio, and you don't even need to call the Columbia School of Broadcasting!

Still hungry after all the lunch events? The sugar plum fairy has come to the rescue with the ultimate sugar rush. Follow the adobe brick road to The Bear Down Ice Cream Bash at the Student Union. Network (sweetly) with UA faculty, staff and administrators while they serve you a free dessert.

And if the UA couldn't feed you enough, the Commuter Student Affairs Office invites all off-campus students to transport themselves to the third floor of the Student Union for free food and refreshments from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's like moving out of your parents' house and receiving a dinner invitation - they just want you to know they still care. Call 621-0767 for more information.

Students who think they live in a cultural abyss do not have to walk far to appreciate the finer sights in life. "Finding Stewart: A Collaboration," an art exhibition by Li Rader and Jacinda Russell, will be on display today from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Visit the Art Department's Lionel Rombach Gallery on the southeast corner of Park Avenue and Speedway Boulevard to examine great printmaking and photography. The show will run Monday through Friday until Sept. 18.

Spyder Rhodes, of KFMA fame, will be bringing you your weekly dose of Euro dance music tonight at Club Congress. Doors open for Europa (the set, not the Greek myth) at 9 p.m. So if you can spare $1 (search the couch if you have to), you're in.

"Hope Floats" is showing at Gallagher Theatre this evening at 9:40 p.m. only. Sandra Bullock costars with Harry Connick, Jr. in a touching film about troubled divorces, mother-daughter relationships, and Texas small town mentality. Quite an interesting plot. Secure yourself a seat in our fine campus theater for a mere $2.50.
