The UA swim teams split their dual meet Saturday against the Auburn Tigers at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.

The No. 3 Arizona women's team defeated the No. 7 Tigers 181.5-114.5. The No. 3 Auburn men slipped by the No. 6 Wildcats in the final race of the day to claim the victory by a score of 154-140.

"I am happy with both the men's and the women's teams," UA head coach Frank Busch said. "Overall, they both delivered great performances."

For the women, Arizona freshman Sarah Tolar won two events and placed second in another to lead the Wildcats.

On the men's side, the meet came down to the final race of the day. The Arizona men finished second, not giving them enough points to complete a late surge that nearly won the meet for them.

In the diving competition, Arizona swept both the Auburn men and women.
