Applications to receive a bachelor's degree at the December 1999 commencement service are due today, a graduation services supervisor said yesterday.

Students have until 3:30 p.m. to apply for a degree in the Administration building Room 305, office supervisor Paul Pronze said. The application costs $15.

If students miss the deadline they should apply as soon as possible as to not run the risk of having to graduate a semester later.

Students applying late will be charged $2 extra.

"It is helpful to know for planning purposes who will be graduating," Pronze said.

Students who want to graduate in May should have turned in their applications last May, Pronze said. Officials from the graduation services office, however, will try to be "flexible" to help students graduate, he said.

Applications are due one year ahead of the month of graduation, Pronze said. Students can check the registrar's Web site at www.registrar.arizona.edu for more information or call the Undergraduate Degree Certification office at 621-5377.
