Stop the profanity

To the editor,

I just finished reading Chris Jackson's Dec. 1 column, and I must say I'm a little disturbed by what I read. "Scum Devils." "Ice Dunces."

When did the Wildcat sports page become nothing more than a "rah-rah" machine for UA sports? I logged on expecting to find insightful analysis on another fantastic game in great series, and all I get is some name calling.

By the way, surely there is a better way to make a point than to tell Ryan Kealy (who I'm sure is hanging on your every word) that "this shit is going to go on for a few years." A fine use of the language.

Chris, if the only way you can liven up your writing is to use gratuitous profanity, perhaps what you were writing was not that interesting in the first place.
