Hats off to border bullies

To the editor,

I am writing in response to Ryan Chirnomas' article "Border bullies." It seems like Ryan's brain went to mush over the extended weekend. There was so much slandering and hearsay in his article it made me embarrassed he passed English 101. Honestly, did he research anything he said, or did he think of all these great ideas while taking his "little road trip to San Diego."

Why I am so upset is that Ryan doesn't seem to know that much about the complexity of the problem, but sure seems like he has all the answers.

For example, one of the many slandering, and actually quite offensive lines to someone who might actually be proud to be an American is the following: "Fueled by extremists like Pat Buchanan, mainstream America has a paranoid and extreme conception of Hispanics as a society of leeches."

The only extremist here seems to be Ryan. I agree that there is definitely many problems concerning border issues. Actually, if Ryan was paying attention, he would have notice that more money is being allocated for better border control, and professionalism. Oh, but I forgot, we should just open our borders to anyone because everyone deserves "a chance to succeed and work their way up America's economic ladder." This sounds like a bunch of extreme leftist crap.

My final thought is hats off to border bullies. Maybe Ryan should volunteer some of his time at the border and maybe realize that the perpetual immigration issue really should be the door doesn't open to everyone.

Well, I have got to go now, because I'm on my way to that job nobody else wants to do. You know Ryan, I despise guys like you who hang out and talk about all this oppression. Maybe one day you'll join the real work force outside our secluded campus and then realize you will need to compete for jobs like us - the job us white, racist, mainstream folk take to get through college while you probably have corporate daddy footing the bill.
