The UA men's and women's track and field teams will begin their season this weekend in Colorado Springs at the indoor Air Force Classic.

The Wildcats will square off Jan. 30 against Colorado, Colorado State, Wyoming, Ohio State and Air Force at the Cadet Fieldhouse track.

The Fieldhouse is at 7,048 feet elevation and could present problems for UA athletes, especially the long distance runners, who are accustomed to the 2,389 ft. elevation of Tucson.

"The altitude could definitely be a factor," UA head coach Dave Murray said. "It should be a good meet and there will be some good teams present."- Brian Wahlund
