From staff reports

It was supposed to be a doubleheader Sunday, but due to the length of the game and no lights, the Arizona (6-0) and Hawaii-Hilo (3-13) baseball teams had to settle for one game.

UA sophomore first baseman Ernie Durazo tripled in the top of the 16th inning, driving in two runs to give the Wildcats a 6-4 victory over the Vulcans and a sweep of the shortened three game series.

Junior Dave Abbott earned his second win of the season, holding the Vulcans scoreless in the last five innings, allowing only one hit. The UA relievers held the Vulcans scoreless for the final 13.2 innings of the game. They have allowed only two runs in 35 innings of relief this season.
