From Staff Reports

The victims involved in Saturday's Jack in the Box stabbings have been released from University Medical Center, a University Medical Center nursing supervisor yesterday.

A University of Arizona student was stabbed in the abdomen with a 3-foot sword at 2 a.m. after he had an argument with another customer inside the restaurant.

A Jack in the Box employee tried to break up the confrontation and was also injured in the hand and the abdomen.

Erik Brown, 46, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and booked into Pima County Jail Saturday.
