Tucson resident Max Cannon is best known for his comic strip "Red Meat: from the Secret Files of Max Cannon" which debuted in Tucson Weekly in 1989 and has since gone into circulation in more than 75 publications in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Czech Republic and Venezuela.

Anyone who's ever seen Mr. Cannon's work is well-aware that it can only be the product of a truly twisted mind, a fragile psyche which is probably best left undisturbed. For this reason, we decided to pair Catalyst's own resident sicko, columnist Tony Carnevale, and all of the creatures and characters which populate the "Red Meat" world. Milkman Dan and the rest of the gang from Max's secret files answer Tony's questions about "Peanuts," corporate endorsements, and Cannon's November 20 appearance at the UA bookstore, where he will sign copies of his second collection of "Red Meat" strips from noon - 1 p.m..
