BOULDER, Colo. - An RTD bus has been sitting next to the Dal Ward Athletic Center for the past five years, waiting for its run on the expressway. Not the Regional Transportation District bus that goes downtown, but something much bigger.

"I've come here to play my part in the 'RTD' of Colorado football," new CU head football coach Gary Barnett announced Friday in a press conference. "'RTD' is going to be the 'Return To Dominance' at the Colorado football program. I want to play my part in doing that."

Scott Reid, a representative of RTD - the bus system - presented Barnett with his own RTD cap at the press conference. Barnett put on the cap and a CU letter jacket, presented to him by CU president John Buechner.

"It took me 27 years to letter," he laughed.
