Taste some of the local music flavor today at noon on the UA Mall stage located in front of Old Main. Today's featured performer is Greyhound Soul, a Tucson band with a little rock style to add to your afternoon. The weekly concert series, sponsored by UA Eat to the Beat, shows each Thursday at 12 p.m. Greyhound Soul is expected to rock the house today for one hour. They have recently been on tour all throughout the southwest, including San Diego, Los Angeles, El Paso and Austin. Grab some lunch and pull up some grass to experience some of Tucson's best local talent. If you have any additional questions about Eat to the Beat concerts, call William Guth at 621-1111.

Feel that you are not doing enough for your community here at college? The Wildcat Habitat for Humanity is hosting its very first meeting of the semester tonight at 5:30 p.m. Habitat is a huge organization known throughout the world for its exploits in building shelters and homes for the less fortunate. Expected topics for the meeting are background as to what Habitat for Humanity is all about and discussions of future activities, such as fundraisers and building opportunities. Meetings are held every other Thursday, in Harvill room 204. Contact Daryl Nauman at 621-2782 if you would like further information.

Would you like to get involved in your university student government? ASUA, the student government organization, is hosting an involvement fair tonight at 5 p.m. It should last one hour. ASUA offers many opportunities for students to do their part, and the fair will provide students with an opportunity to learn how they can become active in ASUA. The fair will be held in the Memorial Student Union's Tucson Room. Members of the ASUA Senate will be on hand to answer questions. Call the Senate at 621-6635 if you have any questions.

The UA Athletic Hall of Fame is holding a reception for the two new inductees into the Hall - Max Zendejas and Susie Parra. The reception begins at 5 p.m. and should last 2 hours. Zendejas was a kicker for the UA football team from 1982 until 1985, and later played in the NFL for the Washington Redskins and Green Bay Packers. Parra was 1994 NCAA player of the year for softball, and was a part of the 1993 and 1994 National Championship softball squads. The reception is being held at Arizona Stadium's President's Scholarship Suite in the west side of the stadium. Contact Jaime P. Gutierrez at 621-3316 if you would like additional information.
