Feel that using your u.arizona e-mail account is too overwhelming to control? CCIT is sponsoring an Internet and electronic resource workshop titled "Pine E-mail" designed to help anyone and everyone become more system savvy when it comes to e-mail. The workshop is entirely free and is open to the first 24 bodies in the seats. All you need is to show up with your UA ID card, and you're set to go. The workshop takes place today from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Computer Center room 311. Call Tom Kelley at 621-8682 if you have any questions.

Fall is officially christened this weekend with the first home game for UA football. The Wildcats open this weekend taking on the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, Saturday. The game should get underway around 7 p.m., but smart students will arrive early, properly seasoned and prepared for a football rumble. Middle Tennessee State should be a tough opponent after putting up 7 points last week against SEC basement dweller Mississippi State. If you haven't already picked up your tickets at the McKale Box Office today, their phone number is 621-2287. For those that are less inclined to go to the game, it can be caught on TV.

Does watching the new Volkswagen commercial get you pumped up about Styx? Well imagine seeing them live in our very own Centennial Hall. The band that brought you "Mr. Roboto" and "Come Sail Away" is ready to rock the night away. They cruise into town Sunday with a performance on their "The Brave New World Tour." The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., so go pick up those tickets this afternoon. The prices on those tickets will run between $30 and $35. Call the Centennial Hall Box Office for seats at 621-3341.

Think you have some mad golfing skills? Then Sunday afternoon the place for you to be is at the Camp Wildcat Benefit Golf Tournament at 11:30 a.m. This 18-hole bonanza is being held to benefit Camp Wildcat, an organization dedicated to giving opportunities to underprivileged kids. Competitions being held are the 18 holes, longest drives, closest to the pin and a putting contest. The price is $100 a team, four players to a team. So call Mitzi Williams at 621-7048 for further details.

Need some art to spice up your life? Come check out the Center for Creative Photography, with different shows weekly. The current display is Vik Muniz's "Seeing is Believing" which will be on display until September 26. The center offers one of the world's leading photography collections, displaying different pictures throughout the building. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. during weekdays, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Want to get your laugh on during lunch? Comedy Corner is holding sketch comedy today at 12 p.m. in the Memorial Student Union Cellar. Students perform comedy bits to the delight of the crowd. Feel like you should be the one doing the shows? Comedy Corner is also hosting auditions this coming Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the UA Student Union Cellar. All writers and performers are welcome to try out. Contact Andrew Shemin at 621-0764 if you need additional information.
