As summer draws closer, the lovely places of the world tempt the adventurous and those not taking summer school to scrounge up money and disappear. Cruise the Caribbean, hike the Himalayas or be adventurous in Asia. Beauty hides in many worldly places, waiting for flocks of foreigners to come and absorb the Baroque arches of czarist St. Petersburg or stare up the cathedral spines as they long for divine conversation. One could also warm-up to the flames of a Finnish midsummer celebration, hike the Great Wall, be carried away by a boating excursion with the forgotten Maori, or simply cruise the waterways. Traveling brings happiness tinted with a sense of freedom only found in the summertime.
