Begin your career week off on the right foot with the Career week kick off today from 12 p.m. and should last until 2 p.m. Free food will abound for attendees, so show up and learn tips and pointers about what to do with your resume and how to dress for success. Career services will be on hand to help you prepare to impress your future employers. The kickoff is going on in the Old Main Building, on the lower lever lobby area, but if you would like to have a question ahead of time, call Susan Miller at 621-1408.

Want to use the vast resources of the Internet for your next upcoming research project? The UA undergraduate services team will be on hand today from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. to help you accomplish just that. The workshop will have participants going hands on into the Internet with the instructors helping to guide and answer questions. The first 25 students with CatCards that fill up the seats are welcome. It takes place in the Science-Engineering Library in room 311. Give the UA undergraduate services team a call at 621-4683 if you have any questions.

Wildcat Volleyball action continues tonight at 7 p.m. against the Beavers of Oregon State. See UA stars Marisa DaLee and Dana Burkholder push the No.18 UA Wildcats in their very first Pacific-10 conference game. Tickets are free to all UA students, just don't forget your UA ID, because it is not free unless you have one. If you're not one of those lucky few with a CatCard, call the McKale ticket office at 621-2287 for your advance tickets, which should run you $5 for faculty and general admission, with $3 for seniors and kids.

The Sierra Club presents a slide show on the Rio Nuevo South, an area close to Tucson considered to be one of the longest continuously inhabited areas in the United States. On the slate for the slide show is the use of the land in Rio Nuevo South, the ecological changes taking place over time in the area and the many restoration efforts taking place today. The presentation will begin at 7:45 p.m. and take place in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences Building (PAS) in room 201. Call John L. Leonard at 621-6874 if you would like some further information.

September heritage month continues today at 5 p.m. with a chance for students to meet various administrators, faculty and Hispanic alumni; music and refreshments will be available. Sponsored by the Chicano/Hispano Student Affairs, this is open to the UA community giving them a chance mix with Hispanic culture. Call Norma Navarro at 621-5627 if you still have questions. They are meeting in front of the Arizona State Museum on East University Boulevard.
