Construction hindering bikers
To the editor, So much for alternative transportation at UA. With the dozens of "NO BIKES" signs around campus, the UA never has been too bicycle-friendly. Mountain Avenue is one of the best bike routes in the city UNTIL IT REACHES THE UA CAMPUS. A big construction sign at that entrance reads, "NO BIKES ALLOWED." Motor vehicles are welcome. This forces biking commuters to head down Speedway and try to cross six lanes of traffic at another point.
