Theyāre mad and trying to prove their name once again. The pressure is off, the polls donāt care, thus the Wildcats are back to a setting theyāre used to. Last chance for UA to prove they havenāt forgotten how the roses smell. Arizona 35 Washington State 24 Cal has some top high school recruits coming in for the game, one a possible verbal commitment. The Bears will try to take the center-stage, but I think J.R. Redmond will still put up a game to prove heās worth the talk he gets. Arizona State 24 Cal 21 What do we have here? The two teams that humiliated UA in the past year match up this weekend. Iāll blame the Wildcat defense for Stanfordās win last week and guess Husak's arm is a bit tired from the 364 yards he threw. UCLA 31 Stanford 24 Some "Dayne-ger" heading Michiganās way. I liked the play on words, so Iāll use it too. Despite the large-size competition, I am going to side with tradition and say (Ian) "Gold" marks the win. Michigan 27 Wisconsin 21 Just another non-conference battle ÷ hardly. Not when youāre dealing with a former coach who ditched you for a pathetic Pac-10 team. Theyāve already lost two non-conference games and I say the third timeās a charm for the Huskies. Colorado 31 Washington 24

Just another non-conference battle ÷ hardly. Not when youāre dealing with a former coach who ditched you for a pathetic Pac-10 team. Theyāve already lost two non-conference games and I say the third timeās a charm for the Huskies. Colorado 31 Washington 24 ASUās humiliating performance against New Mexico State should be enough to fire them up against the Bears. The Sun Devils must beware, though ÷ their offensive line is facing the nationās best linebacker, Sekou Sanyika. If Sanyika is contained, ASU will win a close one. Arizona State 20 California 17 Stanfordās offense exploded last week against the nationās second worst defense. Whoās worse than the ćDepleted Desert Swarm,ä you ask? UCLA. Husak will have a repeat performance as the Cardinal take sole possession of the Pac-10 lead and become a dark horse candidate for a BCS bowl. Stanford 50 UCLA 22 The Badgersā game last week was a fluke, but rebounding against one of the best Wolverine squads this decade will be difficult. Michigan will air it out and when it is all said and done, expect Drew Hensonās arm to outperform Ron Dayneās legs. Michigan 35 Wisconsin 28 Pay attention to this one, Tucson! With the so-so football the Buffs and Huskies display each week, this may be a preview of the Ī99 Insight.com Bowl. Watch for Washington to feed the ball to WR Dane Looker en route to victory in round one. Washington 35 Colorado 25

Could Arizona be the team to give WSU its first win of the season? If the Wildcats play like they did last week, yes. It wonāt happen, though, as the players realize Tomeyās job is in jeopardy if they lose. Terry Bowden is looming... Arizona 45 Washington State 7 The new state football rankings are just in: 1). NAU 2). UA 3). ASU. At least the UA is not the worst team in the state. The Sun Devilsā road to a 5-6 season continues as the Golden Bears win a tight one. California 21 Arizona State 20 Stanford is not as good as people think ÷ Western Michigan would have beaten Arizona last weekend. With this in mind, look for Danny Farmer and Brian Poli-Dixon to have huge games against a weak Cardinal secondary. UCLA 45 Stanford 28 Ron Dayne faces his first real test of the year. Michigan is no Cincinnati as they shut down Dayne and his Heisman aspirations end. A super sophomore, Drew Henson, leads Michigan to victory. Michigan 28 Wisconsin 10 Never, ever, ever bet on a Pac-10 team this year. The Pac-10 is cursed and this game will be no different. Ex-Buffalo head coach Rick Neuheisel continues to show why he is the most overpaid head coach in America. Colorado 28 Washington 24

A make or break game for Tomeyās squad. If the defense learned how to tackle this week, UA could coast. If not, learn to say coach Terry Donahue. However, if Trung can get his 16 inches (of space, that is), UA should win in a rout. Arizona 42 WSU 13 ASU has been a Jekyll and Hyde team this year, beating Texas Tech before losing to New Mexico State at home last weekend. Just like the Wildcats, ASUās mental toughness will be tested this weekend as the Bears throw for 500+ yards and win in OT. Cal 37 ASU 30 The Cinderella slipper has fallen off after routing UA last weekend. Look for the Cardinal to be stuffed by an underrated Bruin secondary, as UCLA shows they can tackle in the defensive backfield. Stanford played the spoiler, but its time to wake up ÷ theyāre not that good. UCLA 34 Stanford 24 Forget Ron Dayne...this game will be won or lost by, as Keith Jackson would say, the big uglies. If the Badger line can give Dayne a hole, itās close. Look for Drew Henson to come off the bench and salvage a poor Michigan offense. Michigan 17 Wisconsin 14 Rick Neuheisel faces his old team this weekend as both squads fight to maintain any sort of pride. The former NFL quarterback helps rejuvenate his offense with the pass as the Huskies show CU the big mistake they made. Washington 27 Colorado 20
