Budget Rental lends van to aid Escort Service
	To help alleviate some of the ASUA Escort Service pick-up delays, Budget Car and Truck Rental of Tucson has offered use of a van to the financially struggling organization. "In the past two weeks our demand has shot up 40 percent," said Rachel Reinhardt, director of the Associated Students Escort Service.

Opportunities lost
	An angry, upset and shaken senior kicker Mark McDonald trembled off the field Saturday night amid heckles from teammates, fans and no doubt, his conscience. With seven seconds left, 55,251 fans in the stands, a Rose Bowl and a starting job on his shoulders, McDonald sailed a 45-yard field goal wide left to give the Oregon Ducks a 44-41 victory.

Editorial: Likins' tuition plan ignores the middle class
	In an interview televised yesterday, UA President Peter Likins expressed his belief that tuition, rather than being too high, is actually too low. To a great extent, the low price paid by in-state students is a result of subsidization by the state. All told, the cost of educating a student is significantly higher than the roughly $2,000 per year in tuition that the in-state student is charged. The remainder comes from the state, which, rightly enough, feels an obligation to help subsidize higher education for Arizona youth.

The best of both worlds
	They say it's not over 'til the fat lady sings. The first time you see it, you'll either love it or you'll hate it. Famous sayings like these are usually the extent of a college student's exposure to opera. Charles Roe, director of Opera Theater, however, believes that "Una Noche de Ballet y Opera Espanola," a joint performance put on by the University of Arizona School of Music and Dance, is an easy and entertaining opportunity for students to ease into the world of opera.
