Talk about this story

University police arrested a UA student early Friday morning after responding to a possible fight at a campus building, police reports stated.

Police arrived at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., at about 2 a.m. after someone called and reported yelling in front of the building.

As an officer arrived, he noticed a group of people standing near the building, reports stated.

As the group saw the officer, they piled inside the building and got in an elevator, reports stated.

The officer waited for backup, and when he arrived, they both went in the building.

The elevator had stopped on the third floor, but after a search the officers couldn't find anybody involved in the incident, reports stated.

According to reports, the officers returned to the lobby and a resident assistant pointed to a man standing in front of Coronado and said he was involved in the earlier incident.

The officers went outside and asked the man for identification.

He told police he was John Foraker, 19, of Coronado Residence Hall, but said he didn't have any identification on him, reports stated.

One officer noticed the heavy smell of alcohol on his breath, reports stated.

Foraker had difficulty standing and was swaying and staggering, reports stated.

Police asked him if he had been drinking, and he said he had been drinking, but not at the residence hall, reports stated.

A crowd outside the dorm was getting loud at this point, so the officers placed Foraker in a patrol car to separate him from the scene, reports stated.

After placing Foraker in the car, one officer took Foraker's wallet to look for his identification, reports stated.

According to reports, the officer found three different driver licenses in Foraker's wallet.

Foraker's Nebraska driver license was legitimate, but another Nebraska driver license came back from a search with no record, reports stated.

An Iowa license with another man's name and picture, was in the wallet, reports stated.

Foraker said he bought the fake Nebraska license in Phoenix, but had never used it to purchase alcohol, reports stated.

He said a friend gave him his expired Iowa license, reports stated.

After further questioning, Foraker told police he didn't know how much he had to drink, reports stated.

While the officer filled out a citation, Foraker tried to put his legs through his arms so his hands would be in front of him, reports stated.

Police had to remove the handcuffs and put them on him again, reports stated.

After Foraker became sick and vomited, police gave him a citation for suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol and fictitious license, reports stated.

He was released to a resident assistant, who helped him to his room, reports stated.

The student's Jeep has no doors, and the compact discs valued at an estimated $900 were under the driver's seat, reports stated.
