Who can predict how the Wildcats will play this season? The key ingredient in the teamās four losses has been consistent, though ÷ the secondary and special teams. With the Beaver air attack, itās hard to imagine Arizona not getting lit up. Oregon State 45, Arizona 34 Michigan jumps back into the Rose Bowl picture with a win over the Nittany Lions in Happy Valley. The A-Train runs through Arrington and Short while Marcus Knight and Dave Terrell cause the PSU secondary problems all game long. Michigan 23, Penn State 16 Last year, K-State knocked off Nebraska, but this one is in Lincoln. While the Wildcats have not been proven yet, that will be their downfall as the Huskers roll in this one. Eric Couch passes a couple TDs to Bobby Newcombe, now a WR instead of a QB. Nebraska 38, Kansas State 21 The Huskiesā traveling show continues to UCLA this week, and Neuheiselās boys make a dry run for Jan. 1, when Pasadena means something. And we thought UCLAās defense was bad last year. Washington 34, UCLA 10 Finally, Virginia Tech gets to add some strength of schedule to their BCS formula. But not so fast, my friend! Va. Tech gets a point for a loss and begin sinking in the rankings after the Hurricanes come to Blacksburg and ruin the Hokiesā party. Miami 24, Virginia Tech 23

Do you hear that toilet flushing? Itās UAās season, down the tubes. The Wildcats realize their season is done, and who really wants to go to El Paso for New Yearās? The Sun Bowl is the WhiteTrash.com Bowl. UA loses to the Beavers fun and gun offense. Oregon State 55, Arizona 21 Penn State is mad that their championship aspirations are gone and they will take it out on Michigan. LaVar Arrington, Courtney Brown and Brandon Short will wreak havoc on the Wolverine offense. The Nittany Lions bounce back in a big way and prove theyāre still legit. Penn State 35, Michigan 17 Like Dicky V would say, ćK-Stateās schedule has been cupcake city, baby!ä With that in mind, the Cornhuskers and their blackshirt defense beat up on the Wildcats. Nebraska remembers the beating they got last year. This year, the worm has turned. Nebraska 28, Kansas State 20 ćFirst to worstä is what they should be chanting in Westwood. The Bruins start looking forward to hoops season and lose to the Rose Bowl-bound Huskies. Danny Farmer realizes he is a better volleyball player than a football player and pulls up lame in the first quarter. Washington 36, UCLA 14 Virginia Tech is getting ripped off in the BCS poll but this game will prove they are for real. Michael Vick will destroy the Hurricanes defense as the Hokies defense shines. Wake up, America, the Hokies will be crowned national champions come January. Break out the whiskey. Virginia Tech 45, Miami 17

Corvallis is about to start burning buildings, turning over cop cars and looting Best Buys in celebration of their first winning season since 1970. The East Lansing-esque party will cease, however, as the Wildcats come into town, desperately seeking another Pac-10 victory. Arizona 34, Oregon State 28 Penn State still have their hopes pinned on the Rose Bowl, but Michigan will once again play spoiler to that party. Though the Wolverines have faltered lately, a team that boasts the talent of Anthony Thomas, David Terrell and Tom Brady cannot be shut down for long. Michigan 28, Penn State 24 Hmm ... weāre approaching Thanksgiving and a Cornhusker hasnāt yet been arrested this season. If Nebraska can make it this far without getting into trouble off the field, they will certainly be able to down an overrated Wildcat team. The former is the more impressive feat. Nebraska 22, K-State 16 A purple sea will flood the stands of the Rose Bowl this weekend as Husky fans get their first of two Pasadena vacations. Rick Neuheisel can pick up the sideline dances that he left off with in Tucson as Tuiasosopo runs and passes all over the awful Bruin defense. Washington 36, UCLA 17 The Virginia Tech bandwagon is getting really long, but rightfully so. Va. Tech is at home with a crowd that feels their team walks on water, so donāt even pretend to think that Miami has a chance in this one. The Hurricanes have narrowly escaped losses several times, but theyāll be blown out here. VA Tech 38, Miami 20

The Wildcats are known for rebounding after losing big games, but this is a much-improved Beaver team. Coach Erickson is a genius for all heās done for OSU ÷ which has its first winning season since the 70s ÷ but the UA will win and secure a bowl game. Arizona 27, OSU 17 The Nittany Lions appear to have their national championship dreams squashed, so it will be interesting to see how they respond. Theyāre still the most talented team in the country, though, and shouldnāt have much of a problem with Michigan. Penn State 38, Michigan 19 Donāt look now, but the Huskers have crept back in the title hunt. But theyāre still Nebraska ÷ a team of complainers and quitters. The new turf in Lincoln wonāt help them stop an undefeated Wildcat squad that is better than last yearās team led by Michael Bishop. Kansas State 23, Nebraska 20 Rooting for a team in this game is like looking forward to a cross-country Greyhound trip. Choose between the most arrogant team in the Pac-10, Washington, and against the most despised, UCLA. Give the Huskies the nod because of Tuiasosopo, the best offensive player in the conference. Washington 28, UCLA 13 Virginia Tech is not the second best team in the country, but it may look like it this week against the ĪCanes. Techās offensive attack will have a field day, and its defense will bust up the fading Miami offense like a high school kegger. Virginia Tech in a rout. Virginia Tech 42, Miami 17
