Casinos not 'morally correct'

Talk about this story

To the editor,

A recent letter from Wileen Begay referred to "moral correctness." If Native Americans such as Wileen Begay claim to have such a high level of moral understanding, then please explain how it is morally correct to run the hell-on-earth institution of the Desert Diamond Casino? This gambling institution has ruined the lives of thousands of people. Please note that I am not saying that Native Americans are responsible for the gambling sickness that has led to the death of many people. I am only asking if those Native Americans involved in Desert Diamond Casino can honestly say that their contribution to the gambling industry and its consequential destruction of people's lives is "moral."

In other words, please stop your hypocrisy and stop preaching morality to me and the rest of the university community.
