Fraser caps hundredth career victory over NAU
From staff reports The University of Arizona women's soccer team began the season with a 4-1 victory over Northern Arizona University Friday night. The victory snapped the UA's nine-game winless streak and allowed the Wildcats head coach Lisa Fraser to earn her 100th career victory against former player and Lumberjacks head coach Tracy Custer. "I would have loved to have done this to someone other than Tracy," Fraser said of her milestone. "Every coach would love to have four or five Tracys on their team." Sophomore forward Tiffany Sabado lead a strong UA attack, as she notched two goals, including the game winner as well as one assist. "Tiffany Sabado worked her tail off this summer. You have to make a major commitment when you get to this level," Fraser said. "It's obvious she's done that and she made the difference tonight." The remaining two goals for the Wildcats were scored by junior forward Chrissy Sanford. Arizona controlled the game by being able to capitalize on their team speed against a slower NAU team, even though they were outshot 13-12.
