Talk about this story

Make your holiday season complete and help the needy have a merry Christmas. This is the last week to stop by and become an angel, so come over to the Angel Tree today. Located directly in front of the U-Mart in the UA Memorial Student Union, there are still plenty of disadvantaged children in need. Sara Ransom, the Angel Tree Coordinator, and the rest of her volunteers will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Friday.

The holidays are always a difficult time to find good blood donors. The Red Cross is here today to find some blood to make the holidays a little easier on area hospitals. Look for the big Blood Mobile which will be located on the UA Mall right in front of the Cactus Garden. Juice and cookies are available, and all you have to do to get some is give up some of your precious fluids. They will be out all day, starting at 9:30 a.m. and leaving at 5 p.m. Joyce Meder can answer your questions at 621-7428.

The Associated Press has rated the UA women's basketball team as the 21st best team in the nation. All the more reason to go see them perform tonight as they take on UC Santa Barbara in the McKale Center. Tipoff for the game is at 7 p.m., and tickets are still available to see this matchup. Arizona spent its Thanksgiving vacation handling the New Mexico Lobos and is riding a four-game winning streak. Students get in free to all games as long as they are carrying their student ID card. Those without such benefits can call the McKale ticket office at 621-2287 to get their tickets.

Ever entertained thoughts of spending a semester on another campus in the country? The National Student Exchange Information Session is taking place today from 4 to 5, and is designed to help provide you with answers to those ideas swirling around your head. As long as you maintain a 2.5 GPA, you can take a semester and spend it elsewhere in the country. The session takes place in the Slonaker House located at 1027 E. Second St., and everyone is invited. Have questions beforehand? Call 621-6901 and answers will be provided.

That sensation we all know and love is here, and you don't want to miss it. Riverdance is here courtesy of UAPresents, and it is billed as the show of a lifetime. Acclaimed throughout the world, the show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall. Tickets are $40 for the cheap seats, so make sure you show up before curtain and assure yourself a spot for something special. Tickets can also be purchased by calling the Centennial Hall box office at 621-3341.
